The World Choir Games 2012 will be organised in Cincinnati, in the United States. A press conference for the event was held on September 13, where organisers announced that the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, one of the best-known orchestras in the US, will host the opening and closing concerts, in collaboration with the May Festival Choir.<\/p>\n
The orchestra gives a concert each year on the American national holiday of July 4, but in 2012, the event will be tied in with the opening of the World Choir Games under the slogan of \u201cCincinnatiwelcomes the World!\u201d. Maestro Russell will conduct the concert.<\/p>\n
The closing concert will echo the phrase \u201cThe World welcomes Cincinnati!\u201d and will expand the number of participants by adding the Festival Choir of the Choir Olympics to the stage. The evening\u2019s conductor is G\u00e1bor Hollerung, the Artistic Director of Interkultur.<\/p>\n
